We would love to invite you to Belonging on

Saturday 17th November 2018 at 9.30 am until 12 pm at the Charis Centre

This morning will give you an opportunity to find out all about Community Church as part of exploring whether or not this is where you want to belong in the future.

We will cover vision, theology, finance and leadership - all subjects relevant when considering membership. There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask any questions you like as well as eat some great pastries!

So please join us and call 01279 461231 or contact office@thecommunitychurch.org.uk, to give us an idea of numbers.

We look forward to seeing you!

Peter Vincent - Lead Elder

SUNDAY MEETING
Sunday morning meetings are at 9.30 and 11.30am and you can expect joyful worship led by an excellent band, using a mix of modern and familiar songs. We love to express our love for God and what He’s done, to meet Him and hear from Him, both spontaneously and in a talk, based on the Bible. There will also be opportunities for prayer.

CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
We believe it’s important that children and young people have an opportunity to learn about God in their own way. We therefore provide specific groups and activities for children in both meetings and for teenagers as part of the 11.30 Sunday meeting.

Alpha is an opportunity to find out more about the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over a series of thought-provoking weekly sessions. It is low key, friendly and fun, and is supported by all the main Christian denominations.

Every week you will get to share a meal, hear a talk on an interesting topic and get the chance to discuss it in an open and honest manner, where no question is too simple or too hostile. It's a great place to build friendships, some of which last beyond the course. If you are coming with friends you can choose to sit together, just let us know.

If you are interested in attending this term, please fill out your details on this page.

We do not meet during half term week. alpha@ccbs.org.uk

Come and enjoy an afternoon of tea, cakes and socialising. We will be having a few of our lovely ladies of the church speak about what they believe the Father wants to say to us.

In the spirit of being outward focussed people, we are asking for donations for the homeless shelter. This means making small hampers/boxes (think: shoe box) for either a male or female full of essentials they might need when they arrive at the shelter. Poundland & Primark are great places to get toiletries (toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, etc) and warm clothing (such as socks, gloves, thermals). Bring your donations along and we will pass them on.
