Saturday22nd Sep

We have a great problem in our church: an ever-growing congregation! This means we need more people able to minister to others on a Sunday morning. We are therefore looking to increase the Prayer Ministry Team.

Whether you've been part of the ministry team before, or you've never given it a go but are willing to come on board, we would like to invite you to one of two training opportunities :-

Tuesday 18 Sept 7.30-9.30pm or Saturday 22 Sept 9.30-11.30am - both at the Charis Centre.

It will be necessary to attend this updated training, even if you have attended training in the past, so that we are all working from the same guidelines.

Everyone welcome.

Please email THE CHURCH OFFICE to let us know you are coming.

SUNDAY MEETING
Sunday morning meetings are at 9.30 and 11.30am and you can expect joyful worship led by an excellent band, using a mix of modern and familiar songs. We love to express our love for God and what He’s done, to meet Him and hear from Him, both spontaneously and in a talk, based on the Bible. There will also be opportunities for prayer.

CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
We believe it’s important that children and young people have an opportunity to learn about God in their own way. We therefore provide specific groups and activities for children in both meetings and for teenagers as part of the 11.30 Sunday meeting.

After our second meeting we will be hosting a simple lunch - a great way to make new friends across the age ranges. You don't need to bring anything - just yourselves and children are welcome. After lunch we will put on a movie for the children with some popcorn so that you can chat to members of the church family. We would love to see you and hope you will join us.

Sign-up HERE by Thursday (20th Sept) to give us an idea of numbers!
If you can help to set up or clear away then please sign up on this page.

Prophetic Learning Community comes to the Charis!

Would you like to grow in your prophetic gift? Then this opportunity is for you! We’re excited to be running a Prophetic Learning Community (PLC) with Adrian Horner and Rachel Harris at the Charis Centre on Saturday 7th July, 3rd November 2018 and 23rd February 2019. To enable continuity and momentum we anticipate that attendees will commit to all three of the dates.

The sessions will focus on nurturing and developing your prophetic gift through teaching, discussion and practical application, as well as building friendship together.

Day 1 Dreams; Revelation, Interpretation & Application- Being prophetic outside of the church. This day will build on The Dreaming With God Day we ran in 2017.

Day 2 Building a Prophetic Culture- How the prophetic brings heaven’s atmosphere and how releasing and speaking God's truth brings life!

Day 3 Prophetic partnership- Apostles, prophets, angels and us!

For those of you who would like to get a head start, we recommend the book, 'Translating God' by Shawn Bolz, as background reading.

The course costs £69, and you can sign up by buying a ticket on this page today - space is limited.   Lunch is not included but tea and coffee will be served.
One final thing, if paying for the event is a problem for you, please do not let this be a barrier.  Contact the office via office@thecommunitychurch.org.uk and we can discuss this further with you.

You can sign up here.

There is an urgent need for us to put a stake in the ground and say, That’s it! We've had ENOUGH of the poverty, the dysfunction and the pain in our broken world. But, we also need to realise and grasp that God is ENOUGH, that he is sufficient and we do not need to go further than him to bring order and restoration to our broken world. His sufficiency is our confidence. We can come to him with big requests; requests that will see thousands of people come to know Christ.

Sunday25th Nov

Alpha is an opportunity to find out more about the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over a series of thought-provoking weekly sessions. It is low key, friendly and fun, and is supported by all the main Christian denominations.

Every week you will get to share a meal, hear a talk on an interesting topic and get the chance to discuss it in an open and honest manner, where no question is too simple or too hostile. It's a great place to build friendships, some of which last beyond the course. If you are coming with friends you can choose to sit together, just let us know.

If you are interested in attending this term, please fill out your details on this page.

We do not meet during half term week. alpha@ccbs.org.uk
