I was on my way to church and as I walked up to the Causeway in Bishops Stortford I met 2 ladies and two children. As one of the ladies crossed the road, her ankle suddenly gave way very badly in front of me. She hobbled to the wall and I could tell by her face that she was in a lot of pain. I quickly went over and asked her and her friend if they were OK. I also told them that I was on my way to church and that we believe God heals people. I felt a stirring in my spirit to pray so I asked one of the girls to put her hands on the lady’s ankle over my hand and to repeat after me, “In Jesus’ name be healed!” In an instant she was healed! She could walk without any pain!
But that’s not the end of the story... It turned out that she was on her way to church. I told them that I was on my way to my church too. We parted company. At the end of the service that morning I thought that I would speak to Peter Vincent about what had just happened and it was then that he told me that this same woman turned up at the Charis Centre that morning. Not only had Jesus healed her, but she chose to give her life to Christ that morning! Furthermore, her daughter had said to her Mum, “I didn’t believe in God before, but now I do.” Wow!
One little step of obedience from me & look at what God does!
