Financial provision

We love to hear stories of God at work and here is a quick testimony of how God provided for John, one of our members.

"The last financial year at work, which ended in May 2015, was the best year ever in the 25 years that our company has been running. This led me to invest in more staff and equipment. However, from May onwards it was  like someone had shut the door and incoming work started to drop off having a serious impact on our profits.

After 6 months of this, having prayed each day for our daily bread, Anne (my wife) and I decided it was time to fast and pray for this amongst other issues that face us at this time. In the week following our first fast I was driving to Hertford for a council appointment, praying about the issue and the verse “Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you” dropped into my heart. The relief was great as I realised again that my only responsibility was to seek and serve God and everything else that happens is up to him! At the time I did not see it as an answer to our need but just a release from the pressure of the situation.

When I returned to my office a note was left on my desk. A local business has phoned and said “You do a bit of work for us at the moment, how would you like to do a lot on a regular basis”? I made contact immediately and have subsequently started work on a large contract.

We still need more and are actively seeking this but what an encouragement! Thank you Lord."
