DESCRIPTION
• Exodus 5 is one of countless examples in the Bible, from Old Testament through to New, of God calling his people to wait. It was a hard reality for the Israelites then and it’s a hard reality for us; God has his own schedule, moves at his own pace, and doesn’t always explain himself. How do we respond with peace, patience and trust when called to wait on God?

• Peace and patience in the wait, comes when we:

o Choose humility; laying down the heavy burden of trying to control what we cannot control, or assuming we understand what we cannot understand. Take a look at Job 38 for some perspective.
o Seek the value. Laying down our problems doesn’t mean ignoring them, it means trusting God for the value in what we’re going through, and pursuing it with all our hearts. Take a look James 1:2-4.
o Lean on patience. God doesn’t ask us to wait patiently in the context of his might, and power and omniscience, He asks in the context of grace. Every day He demonstrates the deepest patience in us, and at the cross His patience flooded our lives with grace.
