Sundays

Worship

We believe that musical worship is an important way for us to focus on God, His character, goodness and all that He has done for us.

The Bible leads us to expect that when we praise God we will meet Him and learn more about Him. We also believe that God will speak to us. This may be from Bible readings, prayers and prophecies. We  spend a good proportion of our services worshipping God, where people may be rejoicing, reflecting, singing, being quiet, lifting up their hands, kneeling, but mostly just being thankful to God.

You are welcome to join in these times as much as you want. We are led musically by one of our bands, and overseen by our church leaders.

Thinking of joining the worship team?

We are always looking to grow and develop the worship team, so if you’re a gifted musician, singer or PA person with a heart for God, then serving on the Worship/PA team could be for you!

The worship team at CCBS, fondly known by many as ‘Musos’, meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the school term, to commune with God and each other. We use this time to practice and prepare for Sunday mornings and other events that we may be involved with.

We expect a lot from our worship/PA team; not just in musical standards that we aspire to, but also the standard of integrity and devotion to God in how we conduct our lives, both on and off of the stage. We are developing a team at CCBS that love Jesus, that honour him with our whole lives, and that set an example in worship. We believe that Sunday morning worship is an overflow of our daily walks with the Lord. We need people who are team players – people who serve and love each other well. This looks like making cups of tea, praying for each other, and turning up prepared and on time! By no means do we profess that we have attained all of this, but it’s something we strive for as a team. Our worship team are devoted to serve the church by helping to lead people into His presence – our favourite place to be is at His feet. We recognise that we are privileged to come before our holy God, and hope you will join us, as we pursue God's presence in this way.

If CCBS is your home church, and you're a competent musician or singer wanting to join the worship team then please read the musos requirements below and drop me an email at amy@ccbs.org.uk and I will be in touch with an application form. You may be asked to come and audition with one of the bands, and to meet with one of the worship leaders as part of a process of getting to know you.

If you’re keener to get involved with the production side of worship, then please drop Paul an email at production@ccbs.org.uk and he will be in touch.

We look forward to hearing from you!
