At the beginning of 2026 we start with the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:16-18. Here Jesus invites us to fast as part of our ministry to God. Later in Matthew 9 Jesus opens up fasting as a pursuit of the bridegroom and a longing for more of Him, Before we do anything in 2026 we position ourselves to find God first, take time to listen and wait on Him by setting aside what can satisfy only for a moment for the one who is life itself.
